Creating the Flowform and Rokisa businesses:

Design for Life Co ltd developed from a Flowform cottage industry in NZ started in 1979 by designer and teacher Iain Trousdell. Iain studied from 1976 until 1979 under John Wilkes, the inventor of Flowform eco-technology.

Over 20 years  many colleagues helped Iain in the development and production of Flowform designs in New Zealand for the South Pacific region.

The business restructured in 2002 with a staged investment plan and a new vision to develop a global Healing Water business, by gathering and energizing the Flowform brand worldwide.

This global business plan for Flowform eco-technology, therapy and art has been actioned successfully, to the extent that John Wilkes has handed his personal Flowform leadership role over to Iain and his USA colleague Chris Hecht.

ROKISA INTERNATIONAL Ltd

The revolutionary ROKISA composite casting method was developed by Ian Provines, Iain Trousdell and Steve Webb in the early 2000s in order to create hollow stone Flowform casts, with the view to efficient mass production of beautiful natural-stone products much more effectively than concretes.

In 2009 Design for Life created its subsidiary Rokisa International Ltd to focus on developing this method as a successful business with the plan to license the method internationally. Go to www.rokisa.com
